Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP)The Catholic Elementary School Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP) has been developed to provide needs-based tuition assistance for Catholic and non-Catholic students registered at any Catholic Elementary school within the Diocese of Buffalo.
Any parent or guardian with a Kindergarten to Eighth Grade student who is registered for the 2010-2011 academic year at a Catholic elementary school within the Diocese is eligible to apply for CTAP. Families must demonstrate need for assistance according to an Income Eligibility Scale to qualify for consideration. Families must also commit to paying a minimum of $500 in tuition for their child(ren).
Current CTAP Students/Families: Students/families already receiving CTAP are automatically eligible for CTAP support for the next school year (2010-2011), as long as they continue to meet Income Eligibility Scale requirements. Foundation CTAP staff will communicate directly via mail with all current CTAP students/families beginning in March 2010 and will prompt them to complete a simple "re-qualification form", accompanied by 2009 income verification documentation.
New CTAP Students/Families: All new students/families, that is, any student/family not currently receiving CTAP funding (e.g. newly registering students, transfer students, students which did not apply last year, or were denied last year) are invited to complete a simple application form click here to download information and application or contact your local Catholic elementary school for an application.
The application (for new CTAP students only) deadline is April 30, 2010. Foundation CTAP staff will communicate directly via mail with new applicant families beginning March 2010 to request their supporting 2009 income verification documents.
