Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, has announced the receipt of an unrestricted $5,000,000 bequest from the Francelia L. Bennett estate. It is the largest single gift in diocesan history.

The Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo is currently accepting applications for the Catholic Elementary School Tuition Assistance Program (CTAP) for 2009-2010 school year. During the 2008-2009 academic year, CTAP provided $526,700 in needs-based tuition assistance to 1,443 students. At a time when costs are increasing, many families still want to provide an excellent Catholic school education for their children. CTAP provides a means to do so.
